Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SPS)

We are searching for a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join our team. As a HLTA you will be covering scheduled PPA, Leadership time and staff absence across different year groups for 3 days a week. As part of your role, you will be planning and delivering lessons, as well as delivering some pre planned lessons.

Contract type: Fixed term until 31st August 2026, 18 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only), 3 days per week, 08:30am - 15:30pm, with an hour unpaid break - working days to be agreed at interview.
Salary: Level 4, Points 12–15, Namely £13,280 - £13,942 (FTE £28,598- £30,024)

- HLTA or equivalent qualification
- A HLTA who is committed and passionate about making a positive difference to each and every child
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Commitment to planning and feedback in liaison with Class Teachers
- An inspiring HLTA who has high expectations for pupils’ learning, behaviour and achievement
- A practitioner with a good knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and assessment
- A professional who works well in a team, can use their own initiative and is committed to their own professional development
