Contract type: Permanent, 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:30 am - 12:30 pm, 38 weeks per year (term time only).

Salary: Level 4, Point 12 - 15, namely £14,755 - £15,491 (FTE £28,598 - £30,024)


This is an engaging role within our GBA team to provide a ‘front line’ of communication and support for the families in our school community. We are seeking a suitable person to actively develop relationships which will enable support to be offered during times of need and have a sensitive and discreet approach to working with our pupils and their families. In this role, you will liaise with a range of agencies and be part of a holistic package of support for the child and their family.

We are seeking a suitable person with appropriate academic qualifications to join our established team. The right character, willingness to share and keeping calm and prepared for almost anything will be important attributes for this position.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with all staff connected to the family as appropriate to ensure work with the family and children is consistent.
  • Working closely with the class teachers, Headteacher, external agencies and, as appropriate, the designated Child Protection Lead.
  • Make appointments/opportunities for families, where appropriate, to meet on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the school’s internal record keeping is completed regularly to ensure contents of records available are in line with data protection.
  • Monitor attendance and work with families to maintain high attendance.

  • Have a willingness to learn and show initiative to prioritise tasks and multi task.
  • Work as a team member and communicate effectively using suitable language.
