SEMH Inclusion Worker
You will be able to provide essential support to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Contract type: Permanent - 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days)
Salary: Scale 4 (range 7-11), FTE (range £24,294-£25,979-£28,770), actual salary: (range £20,687-£22,122)
You will be able to provide essential support to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate is likely to have experience in supporting secondary pupils facing SEMH challenges or experience in a similar setting. A comprehensive understanding of various behaviours within SEMH settings is required, along with the confidence to effectively manage these situations.
Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support, including interventions, assisting teachers in the classroom, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. A successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and supportive educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour support plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and social interactions among students.
- Facilitate emotional regulation strategies and interventions.
- Support students during transitions and unstructured times.
- Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
