CAM Academy Trust and ACES Academies Trust given ‘green light’ to join forces

++ Move will see CAM grow to 17 schools, boosting collaboration and capacity across Cambridgeshire ++

The boards of CAM Academy Trust and ACES Academy Trust are pleased to confirm that plans for ACES schools to join the CAM family have been formally approved. The move will see all five ACES schools – including Hinchingbrooke School and several primary schools – become part of CAM Academy Trust during the next academic year.

The decision follows a period of strategic reflection by ACES, which has been exploring how best to sustain momentum and deepen the impact of its school improvement work. Joining a larger, locally rooted and values-driven trust was seen as the strongest route to securing long-term stability and unlocking fresh opportunities for pupils, staff and school communities.

The integration will bring CAM’s total number of schools to 17, strengthening the trust’s presence across Cambridgeshire and creating a broader platform for collaboration, innovation and professional development.

The formal process to bring the ACES schools into CAM will now begin, with a view to the schools formally joining early in 2026.
